Regional Sales Manager- Hydrogen Generators

Location: South – Southeast United States
                Florida - Texas      

Summary:
Distributed Energy Systems is considering one or more additional sales professionals to manage a variety of sales territories, both domestic and foreign. This individual sells onsite hydrogen generation products manufactured by Distributed Energy Systems to business and industrial customers in a specific geographic area and/or industry segment by performing the following duties:

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Travels, phones and e-mails throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to develop opportunities and solicit orders.
  • Develops and presents sales presentations outlining features and benefits of the hydrogen generators to prospective customers and channel partners.
  • Encourages and manages the efforts of industrial gas and other channel partner personnel to sell a targeted volume of hydrogen generators in specific geographic area and/or industry segment during each fiscal year.
  • Manages the sales channel relationships within the specific geographic area and/or industry segment.
  • Trains channel partner personnel to effectively prospect, qualify and sell equipment.
  • Maintains accurate sales development records, and provides contact data, sales projections and expense reporting in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from channel partners, other customers and prospects, newspapers, business directories, and other sources.
  • Travel up to 75% required.
  • Others duties as required to successfully perform this role.
  • Regular attendance to work is a requirement.

Qualifications: 

  • Industrial equipment sales experience. Experience in the electric power market a plus.
  • Successful technical sales experience for medium sized capital equipment to industrial clients.
  • Proven ability to identify new sources of business.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales objective and territory/account development.
  • Experience as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues.
  • Detail oriented withstrong technical aptitude.
  • Independent worker with a sound mix of business and technical knowledge.
  • Foreign language fluency a plus.

Education and/or Experience:

  • College degree in a technical field or the equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience.

Communication Skills:

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Mathematical Skills: 

  • Must be able to utilize Excel, Act, Word and other commonly used business software solutions. 
  • The computation of hydrogen gas usage, the development of economic payback and the differentiation between economical and non-economical solutions require college level math and science skills.
